There have been many doctors in the world, but they could not save sinners through their teaching. These preachers of morality makes me think of a man who, seeing another fell to the bottom of a well, showed him to the top rope recommending him to jump out and grab as well. Whoever was at the bottom said "What is it I see your rope? I can not get it here, and if I could jump up high to grab, I would not need it! Make her go down! "Jesus Christ did not found a rope from heaven, saying," Be good and do good save yourself by your own efforts, because these are the teachings of salvation "He descended Himself to take by the hand those who had fallen in their sin and be traced back to Heaven. It is his wonderful love that made him leave the heavens, and we did not understand! We insulted, we have not seen Him, at most, an extraordinary man or a prophet.
When you hold in your hand a stick straight and as you dive into the water, part of the stick that is underwater seems to be broken, but if you leave the water the stick becomes perfectly straight. Thus, when Jesus descended into the ocean of this world to save sinners drowning, men saw him as "broken", they do not recognize its true nature, and took him for a man, a sinner like them, but the time comes when we shall see him as he really is, like God.
There was a time when I could neither understand nor accept this truth. I thought Christ was simply a man. So I hated him, I heard him, I knew a lot about him, but I did not know himself! There is a big difference between knowing his life and work, and know himself.
We learn a lot about Jesus Christ by reading books or the Bible, but we do not know him himself by prayer. This is my own experience I'm talking about. I did not realize that He is truly God when, through prayer, He turned to me. I knew then that He is truly the eternal Word. But God came to us so poor that his glory was not visible to human eyes.
